In order to regulate and advance urban renewal projects, the Shenzhen Municipal Housing and Construction Bureau has issued "Several Opinions on Regulating the Implementation of Urban Renewal Work", which will be effective from April 9 for a period of three years. The opinions propose that project applicants can apply to redefine or optimize the demolition scope of urban renewal units. They also aim to reasonably reduce the planned commercial building area, relax the floor area ratio, establish a housing voucher system, and explore diversified paths for compensation and resettlement in urban renewal projects. Previously, Guangzhou had introduced the "Guangzhou Housing Voucher Resettlement Implementation Plan". Coupled with the housing voucher policies already issued by Tongzhou in Beijing as well as by Jinshan and Qingpu in Shanghai, there are four Tier 1 cities that have begun exploring housing voucher policies.
