<H Shrs>HSI Slips 210 Pts Midday; XIAOMI-W Dives 3%+; NIO-SW In Selloff

Today marks the futures settlement day for Hong Kong stocks, with the market ascending initially before turning lower by midday. The HSI opened 94 points higher, peaking at a 196-point gain to 23,775 before receding, diving as much as 258 points to 23,319. By midday, it tumbled 210 points or 0.9%, closing at 23,368. The HSCEI faded 95 points or 1.1% to 8,581. The HSTECH declined 93 points or 1.7% to 5,495. Total half-day turnover reached HKD131.722 billion. Among techs, XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) slid 3.4% to HKD49.95, with a half-day turnover of HKD11.7 billion. TENCENT (00700.HK), BABA-W (09988.HK), KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK), and JD-SW (09618.HK) fell 0.1-0.4%. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK), BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) and BIDU-SW (09888.HK) subtracted 1.5-1.7%. NTES-S (09999.HK) inched up 0.8%. Additionally, WEIMOB INC (02013.HK), AAC TECH (02018.HK), SUNNY OPTICAL (02382.HK), Q TECH (01478.HK), COWELL (01415.HK) and FIT HON TENG (06088.HK) cratered over 3%. KINGSOFT CLOUD (03896.HK), LENOVO GROUP (00992.HK), HORIZONROBOT-W (09660.HK) and GDS-SW (09698.HK) slipped by 4.6-5.4%. In the chip sector, SMIC (00981.HK), with a 45% YoY drop in full-year net profit, and peer HUA HONG SEMI (01347.HK), with a 79% YoY decline in annual net profit, each tumbled over 3%. Among automakers, NIO-SW (09866.HK), which intended to raise HKD4 billion through a share placement priced at HKD29.46 per share, plunged 7% to HKD30.
